From my heart to your hands
Hello! My name is Mykela Cottam, and I publish under the name M.A. Cottam. I am 24 years old and I currently work full time as a vet tech. In my spare time, I like to read, draw, and, of course, write.
I started writing stories when I was very young, and it started out as fanfiction from other fandoms. I soon began to develop my own ideas and began typing out stories in Google Docs during middle and high school. Because I had so many stories I wanted to write, I would usually write a chapter in each book before jumping to the next, which helped me when I had writer's block on certain books, though it also made it a slow process to finish any one book. I finally decided to start on just one project, and I managed to write the second and third books of my debut series in a matter of weeks.
Originally, I had no intentions of ever publishing my books. It was just a way to get the ideas in my head on page, written out in physical form. When I finished writing my debut series, however, I realized how much I wanted to share it. So, I decided to step completely out of my comfort zone and into the publishing world.
It's been crazy to try and figure everything out, but I'm so excited to tell my stories. I hope everyone loves my characters just as much as I do and is just as excited about my plots as I am.
